Exciting opportunities are now available for a Graduate Engineer within our Above Water Systems (AWS) Product line for Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems and Hobart Class DDG Combat System support agent programs based at Mawson Lakes SA. The Graduate Engineer will support systems, electrical, mechanical, mechatronics and/or software engineering activities relevant to their discipline and assigned project, under direct supervision by experienced engineers and team leads. The Graduate Engineer will begin to develop their expertise in the current phase of the project, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to processes. Key Responsibilities Provide assistance as directed in the design, analysis, implementation, and test and agile lifecycle support of nominated mechanical and/or electrical components, modules, subsystems and/or software configuration items. Understand the operation and functional performance requirements of mechanical, mechatronics, electrical hardware and/or software assigned to their responsibility. Provide assistance as directed to hardware, software, and integration teams in resolving trouble reports that involve technical issues. Prepare, review, release, and maintain engineering documentation associated with assigned engineering tasks. Ensure assigned hardware systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to company standards and procedures. Prepare, review, release, and maintain engineering documentation associated with assigned engineering tasks. Understand the systems engineering methodology, tools and procedures required to complete the systems engineering tasks assigned. Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system. Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to routine technical problems through designated channels. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Less than 2 years prior relevant experience required. Requires theoretical Engineering knowledge typically obtained through a University Degree. Eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Defence security clearance. Availability to undertake travel where necessary to meet project requirements.
