More About the Role at Thomson Reuters We're looking for a creative and bilingual professional to join our team behind CoCounsel, a cutting-edge platform that delivers innovative solutions to attorneys in Japan. As a Legal Prompter, Technology Specialist, you will play a key role in helping us expand our capabilities and localize our platform for the Japanese legal market. About the Role: - Collaborate with our team to develop and refine language prompts that interact with state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs) - Work with legal professionals to ensure that our platform delivers accurate, legally sound, and contextually appropriate responses - Help design and implement new features and capabilities for our platform, with a focus on user experience and customer delight - Liaise with our team to gather and understand requirements, and integrate language models into our systems - Contribute to the development of our platform's content and functionality, with a focus on Japanese language and legal expertise About You: - Highly proficient in written and spoken Japanese, with native speaker-level language skills or equivalent certification - Strong understanding of the Japanese legal system and industry, with experience in legal practice, or as a courtroom interpreter, paralegal, or legal industry professional - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively - Creative and clear writing skills, with the ability to craft effective language prompts and content - Experience with technology and software applications, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and systems - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with legal professionals and technical teams Nice to Have: - Experience with language models, natural language processing, or machine learning - Familiarity with programming concepts and languages, such as Python or JavaScript - Experience working with APIs, data sources, and software development methodologies - Knowledge of legal technology and innovation, with a passion for using technology to improve the legal profession If you don’t think you're a perfect fit, you should still sign up to Hatch and create a profile, we'll match you to other roles that suit your profile.
