Harness Manufacturing Technician - Casual role available Murarrie, Brisbane – EV Industry – Immediate Start Join Tritium, a global leader in DC fast charging for electric vehicles, as we help drive the future of sustainable transport. We’re looking for a hands-on Harness Manufacturing Technician to join our high-performing team for a short-term, 4 to 6 week casual assignment at our Murarrie facility. What you’ll do: Operating as a member of the Engineering team you will Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, actual physical hardware and technical drawings to assemble complex wiring harnesses to specification. Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires using hand tools, semi-automated, and automated equipment. Route, bundle, and secure wiring looms using heat shrink, braiding, tape, sleeving, and clamps in accordance with IPC/industry standards. Perform continuity checks and insulation resistance tests using multimeters and specialized test equipment. Identify and report non-conformances, assist in root cause analysis, and support corrective action implementation. Maintain accurate build records, traceability, and compliance with work instructions and quality documentation. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support harness design feedback and continuous improvement. Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness, following all health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct pin to pin connection verifications on built harnesses. Ensuring the continued quality supply of cable harnesses and connectors for the manufacture of products. Build harness assemblies in an effective, timely and reliable way. Qualifications and Competencies Cable experience will cover – building harness with multiple connectors and methods of wire terminations. Cable/Harness experience will have come from product environment that may have covered - automotive, preferred Low Voltage and signal cables, rugged/hi-reliability product environment. Experience in the provision of support to manufacturing proffered Experience in the use of project planning tools, agile planning tools such as JIRA. Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solver desirable. Apply now and help shape the future of transport.
