Information Technology Services (ITS) Full-time, permanent position Base salary will be in the range $100,554 - $109,496 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 7) Based at our St Lucia location About This Opportunity The Application Technical Analyst/Administrator provides a high level of support to the University of Queensland’s Higher Education Technologies Enterprise Application portfolio, focusing on Studylink and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The role includes gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, administering and maintenance activities and delivery of continual system improvement through identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in processes and configuration. The role works collaboratively with many teams including technology and administration. Key responsibilities include: Ensure compliance with UQ’s Cyber Security Policy and perform system administration tasks, including troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance. Design, implement, test, and document technical solutions that meet customer needs and manage stakeholder expectations. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse business processes and propose innovative solutions, fostering process improvements. Create test cases, conduct testing activities, and consult on technical aspects of IT for clients, working effectively with other teams to achieve shared goals. Demonstrated experience in configuration management, requirements gathering, troubleshooting, testing, and documenting solutions within a large ERP system. Experience in supporting technical solution design and risk management activities to ensure the robustness of proposed solutions, with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including vendors and other technical teams. Demonstrate experience in administering multiple systems through the operational and management phase of a systems life cycle covering corrective (issue resolution), adaptive (system updates), perfective (performance enhancements), and preventive (proactive problem prevention) administrative aspects. Experience with integrations methodologies, methods and approaches including testing and integrations trouble shooting. Excellent written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and precise user and technical specifications, with the ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines. Desirable Experience working in the Higher Education sector Strong technical knowledge and significant experience in designing, testing, configuring of one or multiple of the following systems: ERP systems (Oracle-PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) Study application systems (Studylink) The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc. You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
