What we are looking for: Bachelor or Masters of Engineering (Civil/Structural), chartered or working towards chartership. Have 5 years structural design and delivery experience. You will already be working as a Senior Engineer or looking to step up. Someone who can take the technical lead of the design on large or complex projects and provide innovative design solutions. Someone who manages the project lifecycle from structural analysis and project set up, to design and delivery so that quality projects are delivered on time and within budget. Is positive and energetic, works well as part of a team as well as on their own and provides mentorship and guidance to junior employees. Exceptional verbal, written communication and problem-solving skills as daily interactions with architects, builders, clients will form an integral part of your duties. Genuine interest in contributing to the realisation of quality architectural designs through optimising structural solutions. We love diversity: overseas degrees and relevant experience are welcome Role: Have the technical knowledge and excellence to carry out advanced structural analysis using engineering software and be able to fully integrate and verify using an appropriately simplified hand calculations. Comprehensive understanding of industry trends and can steer architects, clients and builders towards novel, creative and cost appropriate solutions using a nuanced application of engineering principles. Prepare accurate engineering reports, third party reviews and detailed drawings while meeting deadlines and goals of the design process. Works collaboratively with peers and shares experiences to resolve design solutions to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables. Develop ongoing relationships with architect, builders, clients and other consultants to progress designs. Manage project administration within the office, ensuring compliance with internal QA procedures. Use engineering software to model structures in 2D/ 3D. What we offer: Competitive salary.
