Trainee HR Truck Drivers - Adelaide — Wollert, Whittlesea Area

We are offering a high-quality, heavy vehicle Driver course where you will be trained and receive mentorship in automatic Concrete trucks and will get paid to obtain your Heavy Rigid License. We will provide you with all uniforms and safety equipment. After obtaining your license, you will be part of a further two weeks of on-the-job training with one of our Driver Trainers. During this time, you will learn more about our business, including Concrete delivery, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements and Concrete technical information, whilst getting more experience truck driving. Opportunities will be available to be based out of one of our 4 Adelaide metro concrete plants: Port Adelaide, Lonsdale, Smithfield and Magill. What you will bring to the team: We are looking for passionate people who are confident and excited to take on a new challenge. ​No truck licenses are required for this position In fact, if you already have a HR license, then you aren't eligible - sorry We will provide you with all the training and support for you to get a HR license. You don’t need experience, but you will need the following: Hold an Australian Driver’s License for a minimum of 2 years (automatic or manual) and a good driving record Pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical which includes a drug test Be able to meet the criteria for licensing, which includes signing a declaration about medical, interlock devices and outstanding fines and disqualifications To succeed, you will be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, who is reliable and honest. You will work well under pressure and remain calm and optimistic during challenging situations. When driving, circumstances will sometimes change without notice, and the best drivers can make these changes in their stride and respond rationally. Crucial to your success is your willingness to learn on the job. You will also have a strong focus on safety procedures, have excellent time management skills, and be able to follow regulations, and legal obligations. Moreover, you will build strong working relationships with others, communicate in a friendly way and provide a high level of customer service when visiting sites.
