Overview: Full-time, Continuing position Salary Academic Level A ($77,649 - $105,323) 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University About the Role The Associate Lecturer will be required to teach and conduct classes in disciplines relevant to their field of expertise and assist in the academic and administrative, consultative and coordination tasks involved with these courses. Functions associated with the position include presentation of lectures and tutorials, assessment of students and course administration in line with the University’s quality assurance requirements. The Associate Lecturer is also required to undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. It is expected that the Associate Lecturer will work under support and guidance to develop expertise in teaching and research with an increasing degree of autonomy. To be successful in this position, you’ll have: Demonstrable knowledge and experience with industry-standard 3D animation and Visual Effects (VFX) technologies such as Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine, and Nuke. Tech art skills (e.g. materials and shader design, lighting, coding and tool development) desirable. Please evidence this selection criteria via portfolio submission (web links preferred). Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver 3D animation and Visual Effects courses at undergraduate and/or post-graduate levels. Demonstrated ability to support student issues related to effective learning. Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field of 3D animation and/or VFX.
