Location: All Locations Working Arrangement: Hybrid Security clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance Key duties and responsibilities : In this role, you will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team to gather evidence, design, iterate, and continuously enhance the user experience. Your responsibilities will include integrating business goals with user needs to produce deliverables such as user stories, personas, user journeys, wireframes, designs, and interactive prototypes. You will also be responsible for developing user research plans, selecting appropriate research methods, and managing participant recruitment to support digital project objectives. Reporting findings, contributing to roadmap prioritisation, and presenting insights and concepts to business areas will also be key aspects of your work. As a researcher, you will tackle complex problems and communicate insights using a range of user research and co-design methods to evaluate digital products and services. As an interaction designer, you will employ various methods to co-design solutions for intricate issues and create intuitive, user-friendly prototypes and proof of concepts for digital products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the research, discovery, and alpha phases of the product lifecycle, a strong understanding of inclusive and accessible design, user behaviour, heuristics, and website analytics, as well as the ability to conduct regular usability testing and validate designs and prototypes. A solid grasp of design principles and systems, along with the implementation of WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines, is essential. LH-02408 Requirements Response must be as a one-page pitch addressing the essential criteria: Essential Criteria: Proven experience and understanding of UX research methodologies and the complete UX/UI design process. Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, engaging design concepts and artefacts, such as prototypes, archetypes, journey maps, and more. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence a range of stakeholders, while effectively articulating design decisions backed by a clear rationale. Experience working with teams to translate insights from usability testing into actionable improvements for user interfaces. Knowledge of accessibility standards, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the inclusive design process. Desirable Criteria: Experience working as part of an agile IT delivery team. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a design-related field, such as Human Factors, Communication/Graphic Design, Systems Design, Psychology, Computer Interaction, Web Development, etc.
