External Sales Representative — Sydney, Sydney Region

The company Our client manufactures a range of LV to MV electrical motors for industrial markets – water, mining, oil & gas, power, sugar, food & beverage, and agriculture. The position Reporting to the NSW State Sales Manager, this position best suits an experienced, autonomous, outcome focused External Sales Representative with strong sales planning skills. This role would specifically call on End Users, OEMs, and Consultants. Duties include: Prospect for potential new clients, identify the decision makers and turn this into increased business. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network. Plan approaches and pitches. Work with the internal team to develop proposals that meet the client’s needs and objectives, as well as overcome their objections. Participate in pricing the solution/service. Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs. Skills & experience required: Strong external sales experience, coupled with Motors & Drives knowledge, is essential Relevant electrical industry experience and relationships are essential. Strong sales planning skills are essential – using your initiative, creating a regular call plan, and maintaining a CRM system. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn and create solutions. Benefits: Generous base salary plus superannuation. Car allowance plus fuel card and toll pass.
