Role Summary A rare opportunity has emerged for a motivated Paralegal to join a highly regarded legal division within the public sector. This position will see you supporting a team of lawyers in delivering legal services and administrative assistance. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and responsiveness of legal operations across a broad portfolio. contract until 30 June 2025 $360 per day plus superannuation 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week Key Responsibilities Provide legal and administrative support to the in-house legal team Draft and prepare legal documents, briefs, and correspondence Conduct legal research and compile findings to assist with case preparation Manage legal records, files, and database systems Liaise with stakeholders and respond to internal and external enquiries Coordinate team meetings and contribute to legal projects and policy development Assist with compliance checks, data collection and reporting Maintain confidentiality and uphold legal standards and guidelines About You Previous experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or administrative legal support role (government or private sector) Solid understanding of legal terminology, research methods and documentation Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills Proficiency with legal management systems and Microsoft Office Suite Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team Experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment A keen interest in public sector legal operations and procedures Must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency or long-term work rights (no sponsorship available) A satisfactory criminal history check will be required Application Process We encourage candidates who are passionate about making a difference and possess the necessary experience and skills to apply.
