Your Role at Nextt: At Nextt, our disability support workers play a pivotal role in organising and executing daily activities for our clients, which includes providing personal care, assistance with domestic tasks, and facilitating community access. We currently have a vacancy in the Ripley South Region of Brisbane for a Casual Disability Support Worker working with our male client. Duties will consist of in home care and community access. Shifts: Tuesday: 4:00pm - 7:30am (weekly) Wednesday: 4:00pm - 6:00am (weekly) Your Skills and Experience: Previous Experience in Mental Health Disability Support Work Experience working with individuals who have Positive Behavior Support Plans; experience with challenging behaviors is highly regarded Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with peers and management staff Ability to complete compliance documentation in a timely manner, such as shift reporting and daily tracking of food and fluids, as well as other reporting requested by management Your Certificates and Licenses: NDIS Workers Screening Check (Yellow Card) - must be applied or current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)- must be applied or current First Aid and CPR Certificate Australian Driver's License and access to a fully insured vehicle All employees will be required to comply with mandatory directives as mandated within the relevant state or territory where they work.
