About the role We are looking for a Trainee Legal Assistant to join our Work Injuries team based in our Dandenong office on a full-time, permanent basis. We are also open to part-time (4 days per week). This role is a great way to join a fantastic team and grow your career within Maurice Blackburn and will suit someone looking for an opportunity to enter the legal industry. You will be a vital part to the team by providing quality reception and administrative assistance for the Dandenong office. You will build upon your client service skills by providing support to our clients when they need it most. Key Responsibilities: Answer all incoming client enquiries and assist or transfer calls where appropriate Provide accurate updates and information to clients within a timely manner and manage expectations Manage the administration of all client files from open to close Produce client correspondence and prepare court documents as requested Arrange and manage diaries, appointments and meetings Action all incoming mail Prepare bills for clients Any other generalist administrative tasks as requested The experience we are looking for Our ideal candidate has experience in a law firm or professional services firm, but don't worry if you don't - it's not essential What we do need is someone with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, who can work with a diverse range of clients. You'll need to be detail-oriented and highly organised, with strong time management skills to keep up with our fast-paced environment. We're looking for a team player who can juggle multiple demands and is proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
