The Role We are currently looking for a retail assistant/counter staff member to join our friendly, hardworking team at Wagga Wagga Gas & Gear where we pride ourselves on providing excellent service. We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual who will thrive in our busy retail store. As part of our team, you will be responsible for promoting our full range of gases, welding and safety equipment to a diverse range of customers. This is a high-paced and varied role that will see you gain experience in all aspects of the Gas & Gear including customer service, sales, warehousing and distribution. Your key duties will include: · Providing excellent customer service · Safe manual handling of gas cylinders · Yard operations including forklift work · Pick and pack of customer gas & equipment deliveries · Welding and product demonstrations · Stock management · Work collaboratively across internal functions · Comply with Company Policy and Adhere to all safety policies and procedures It is expected you will have experience and skills including: · Welding process knowledge and experience would be highly advantageous · Industrial and safety equipment knowledge would be highly advantageous · Experience in a retail sales environment would be highly advantageous · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Excellent time management skills · Keen to learn & progress within a global company Our people have the opportunity to thrive and excel.
