The Position: This position is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys a mix of transactional and contentious work , wants to take on greater responsibility , and values strong mentorship from industry-leading experts. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and consultant agreements. Dispute Resolution: Handle construction disputes including litigation, arbitration, and mediation, providing strategic advice and representation. Compliance and Risk Management: Advise clients on regulatory compliance, risk management, and best practices in the construction industry. Project Support: Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring all legal aspects are managed effectively. Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored legal solutions. Team Collaboration: Work closely with partners, associates, and other legal professionals within the firm to deliver exceptional service and outcomes. Their Melbourne-based Building & Construction team is a dynamic and driven group advising developers, contractors, and consultants on major projects across Victoria. About You: 2 years’ PQE in construction law, with both front-end & litigation experience. Strong drafting, negotiation & dispute resolution skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
