ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting into a supportive and fast-paced operations team, this position plays a key role in ensuring seamless communication between shippers, customers, and truck drivers. The Customer Service Representative will handle high volumes of emails and calls, providing real-time updates and problem-solving in a dynamic logistics environment. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a proactive approach to customer support. You’ll be working closely with stakeholders across the business, using different platforms, and an internal logistics system to ensure smooth freight operations. Manage a high volume of emails (120 per day) and calls, providing exceptional customer support and troubleshooting issues. Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth freight operations and build strong business relationships. Contribute to process improvements, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Support reporting and data tracking to help optimise performance and service delivery. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE While experience in logistics or freight would be valuable, what will set you apart in this role is your confidence, initiative, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Customer service experience in a high-volume environment (logistics experience is a plus but not essential). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust with customers and internal teams. Initiative and autonomy – able to think on your feet, solve problems proactively, and take ownership of tasks. Resilience under pressure, maintaining professionalism and accuracy when managing multiple requests. Tech-savvy, with experience using CRM systems, email management tools, and Google Workspace. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for clients and customers.
