Fantastic part time accounting opportunity 20 – 30 hours per week - Can be 5 x half days or 3 x full days – your choice About the Role: Working closely with the Financial Controller, this role will see you assisting with day to day Accounting functions, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliation, Fixed Asset Accounting, preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT and other statutory obligations, assisting with monthly management reports and EOFY processes. To be successful, you will need to have a track record showcasing robust accounting practices and optimisation of financial process. Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Generate comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for board meetings and executive leadership Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department Completion of monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliation workpapers Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of fixed asset registers Assist with tax compliance work, including the preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT and other statutory/ taxation obligations Supporting the rest of the team with their transactional tasks where necessary Ad-hoc duties as requested Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance, with CPA/CA certification an advantage Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a diverse business environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software Effective communication skills to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Proven attention to detail with demonstrated attitude and thoroughness of work standards Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Highly motivated team player with a “hands on” approach MUST have full Australian Working Rights Please Note; This position is NOT SUITABLE to candidates who require Sponsorship Please include a Cover Letter with your application advising why you are seeking part time employment and what your preferred hours and days of work would be.
