Cafe and Store Manager — South Gippsland, La Trobe Region

Opportunity to take on a hospitality leadership role within Tidal River Work in one of Australia's best and most iconic National Parks Flexible roster to support a healthy work-life balance About the role As the Cafe & Store Manager, you will lead a core team as well as a large team of seasonal staff to deliver high quality products and services at the Tidal River General Store and Café. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all customers are receiving a high level of service with products that meet their changing needs and expectations. You will work as a key member of the Commercial Operations team in delivering on-ground services. You will monitor work practices and with support from line management, ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures. You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic for team members to follow and ensure that employees maintain a high standard of personal accountability and compliance with the Code of Conduct. About the Team The Parks Victoria Commercial Directorate facilitates the realisation and activation of commercial assets and activities that enhance the park experience, contribute to a vibrant and growing visitor economy, and improve value to communities, partners, Parks Victoria and the State of Victoria. The Tidal River General Store & Café is a mixed retail business, comprising a small supermarket and a takeaway food outlet, providing goods and services to visitors at Wilsons Promontory National Park, seven days a week throughout the year. We're looking for someone with: Extensive experience in leadership, performance management and managing a team day to day in a retail or hospitality industry role. Demonstrated flexibility in workload management. Strong customer service focus both internally and externally. Ability to solve problems with technical issues, staff issues and customer complaints. Relevant Trade Certificates and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is highly desirable. Tertiary qualification in Business Management or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
