A global business recognised as a market leader in its field that’s looking for experienced, hands-on Product Designers to design physical products for high volume manufacturing. The Role As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing new and existing products. Key responsibilities include: designing physical products for high volume manufacturing generating appealing concepts and developing these into functional, reliable, cost-effective products within time constraints as part of the Product team, handling all aspects of the design process from concept through to liaising with factories some international travel to manufacturers may be required Skills and experience An enthusiastic, hardworking and results-focused Designer, you will have 3 years of experience and proven ability designing physical products Degree in a relevant field such as: Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aeronautical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering ability to manage your own work as well as working effectively within a team ability to express ideas effectively and use various media appropriately, i.e. illustration, physical models, written and verbal communication Expertise with 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) N.B. You must possess full, unrestricted and ongoing rights to work in Australia to be eligible for this role.
