For You: This role is purely factory based in the clients Greenacre Manufacturing site. 7am – 3:06pm working hours $100k Super Industrial Control Box building and commissioning Electrical Engineering role Free onsite parking Working with an industry leader and some of Australia’s largest sporting venues, theatres and performing arts centre’s The Client: A National industry leader in Audio Visual systems, Lighting and production communications. The Role: As part of the Manufacturing team, the Electrical Engineer will play a central role in the day-to-day operation of the Manufacturing Department. This role will see the Electrical Engineer as a key part of the manufacturing team that is tasked and responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical system control boxes and components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. Your clients include (but not limited to) sporting venues, theatres/performing arts centre’s, houses of worship, schools, public precincts/conference centres, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios and councils. Customers are a mix of end users, consultants, contractors and construction companies You will predominately be based in the Greenacre facility and will also be expected to visit client sites for training and to attend breakdowns / troubleshooting needs Duties: Whilst there are numerous key responsibilities and tasks associated with the role (detailed below) the focus is to ensure that task requests are handled in a timely and effective manner, providing a positive outcome every time. The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Design and Development: Create and test designs for electrical products and systems, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards. Including design, repair and commissioning of industrial control cabinets (relays, PLC, touchscreens, motor drives, VSD). Assist as required in the making of components and assembly of products in accordance with work instructions and work orders Testing: Conduct functional testing of assembled products to verify their performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Project Management: In concert with the Senior Electrical Engineer oversee the production and installation of electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other departments, clients, and contractors. Quality Assurance: Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the quality and safety of electrical systems and components. Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation, including design specifications, test results, schematics and user manuals. Read and interpret client/consultant specifications, mechanical specifications, budgets etc. Distill these documents to the critical requirements of the design Compliance: Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant safety standards and electrical engineering codes. Technical Support: Assist service technicians (as required) on site with control system repairs. Briefing Information: Complete and provide briefing information to other manufacturing staff as required. Equipment: Ensure that equipment, tools, machinery, consumables and PPE are being issued, maintained and used correctly. The Candidate: To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience: 3 years experience as an Electrical Engineer Relevant tertiary qualifications Design, repair work and commissioning of industrial control boxes Autocad Solid works and solid works electrical Altium Designer Programming of PLCs and HMIs Technical trouble shooting Circuit design and analysis Document preparation An understanding of power systems Proficiency in both digital and analogue electronic systems An understanding of analysing and manipulating signals Proven experience in drawing of schematics and an understanding of plans / ability to implement sketches into practical builds An understanding of Australian standards of electrical codes and switches The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment If this position sounds like you then hit APPLY now, alternatively email Mike on mhadleyfuserecruitment.com with your resume.
