You will have the opportunity to challenge yourself and fellow professionals through the works we undertake covering civil and geotechnical site investigation, materials test planning, laboratory testing, modelling, engineering analyses and design, construction, field inspections and tailings life cycle management (from concept to closure). We are currently expanding our team based in Melbourne Victoria and are seeking the following full-time technical staff: · Senior Geotechnical / Tailings Engineers – 7 to 12 years’ experience. · Experienced Geotechnical / Tailings Engineers – 4 years’ experience. Key responsibilities and activities include – Experienced and Senior Engineers: · An uncompromised commitment to safety in all aspects of your work including Safety in Design and promoting a safety culture in every aspect of your work. · Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. · Assist in developing proposals for new work, including project scoping and costing. · Managing project tasks / small projects under the guidance of senior staff / Project Managers. · Undertaking and / or assisting in managing / overseeing geotechnical investigations including site work, laboratory and desktop investigations and prepare factual and interpretative reports. · Undertake technical design tasks and preparation of related documentation (under the guidance of senior staff / project managers). · Working at the direction of senior technical staff or technical experts. · Assist in practical solutions to add value to our client’s needs. · Ensuring time management and quality to required standards to meet project requirements. · Work as part of a project team, delivering technical tasks and reports that summarise the outcomes of the projects. · Knowledge sharing, mentoring junior staff and working collaboratively with local and global teams. · You will be encouraged and supported to undertake research into complex engineering problems and prepare research results for publication in discipline communities and ATC knowledge-sharing technical Seminars. · Travel and site work will be required intermittently. About You Experienced and Senior Engineers · Technical proficiency in geotechnical and/or tailings related work. · Have relevant practical experience in a similar position (as defined above). · Be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to prioritise tasks, work autonomously and contribute to a positive team culture both in the local office and for ATC Williams more broadly. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Emerging project management skills, including understanding project objectives, maintaining client expectations aligned with project scope, maintaining project schedule and internal resources to deliver projects according to expectations. · Good data analysis and data management skills. · Good written communication skills, including report writing and proposal preparation. · Good verbal communication skills, including ability to engage with clients. · Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in working well in teams. · Member of professional body and on track for relevant chartership. · Degree in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering.
