Job Description: Workplace Technology Engineer to join on an initial 6-month contract (opportunity to go permanent at the end of contract). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of office technology, providing technical support to end users, managing user accounts in the Azure Cloud environment, maintaining the local network, supporting audiovisual systems, and configuring device management solutions. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for end users, ensuring prompt issue resolution. Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Utilize SCCM and Intune for device management, including deployment and policy enforcement. Configure and manage Auto-Pilot deployments for device provisioning. Maintain and configure local office network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points. Manage user accounts and permissions in Azure Active Directory. Document infrastructure configurations, network diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and technical processes. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, including lifecycle tracking. Provide support for audiovisual systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Manage digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and security compliance. Perform regular infrastructure maintenance, including upgrades, patch management, and system backups. Key Selection Criteria: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Proven experience troubleshooting end-user issues and managing devices via SCCM/Intune. Solid understanding of networking principles and experience configuring network equipment. Strong knowledge and experience supporting Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365 services. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for diagnosing complex technical issues. Must have: Valid Victorian Driver’s License and access to a vehicle. Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
