About the Opportunity With the commencement of our Gossan Valley Expansion project, an opportunity has arisen for a Civil Project Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Construction Project Manager and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on oversees civil engineering works for the project, including managing technical specifications and ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, safety standards, and regulations. This is an 18-month contract with the potential to extend to 24 months. Your primary responsibilities will include: Overseeing the planning, design, and execution of civil infrastructure projects to meet Australian standards and specifications. Managing contractors and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance. Providing engineering support by resolving technical issues and facilitating design modifications during construction. Assisting with budget management, cost control, and contractor claim approvals to optimise expenditures. Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting progress, risks, and changes to senior management. About You Our ideal candidate will have previous civil project engineering experience, including knowledge of greenfield project development, site establishment, and commissioning. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification in civil engineering. Exposure to project management, including scheduling and budgeting. Experience in civil construction (e.g. earthworks, concrete foundations). Expertise in contractor management and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Familiarity with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Regulations 2022. A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
