Airport West Early Learning Cooperative are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. About The Role: Early Childhood Teacher We are looking for a dedicated and passionate ECT to provide a quality learning environment for our integrated three and four–year-old Kindergarten children, empowering them as independent learners while nurturing their curiosity, resilience, and self-awareness. In this role you will be working in a long day Integrated Kindergarten program with up to 24 children per day. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated educators to create a stimulating, positive and inclusive environment that reflects the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework whilst maintaining the elements of the National Quality Standard (NQS). What you’ll do: Plan, implement, and evaluate child-centred, stimulating, play-based learning programs aligned with the VEYLDF. Observe and assess children's development, maintain accurate records, and use this information to inform and adapt teaching strategies. Foster a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, heard, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn. Establish and maintain positive relationships with Children, Families and Community. Maintain open lines of communication with families, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support agencies to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development opportunities and continuous learning, reflect on professional practices and knowledge and stay up to date with current early childhood practices and research What You’ll Bring: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, or ACECQA approved equivalent. Experience as an ECT. Valid VIT registration. Strong knowledge and experience with the VEYLDF, NQF and SRF. Strong Knowledge of Mandatory Reporting, Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme Current First Aid certificate; including Anaphylaxis and Asthma. Outstanding communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with Children, Families, Professionals, and the Community. Strong mentoring and leadership skills Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices, including behaviour support. Creative, patient and nurturing approach to supporting young learners Experience in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
