Senior UX Designer – $160K Super Bonus | Hybrid (Sydney) Bring best practice design principles & add your creative flair to shape these global digital products We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who thrives on solving complex problems and creating smart, user-focused solutions. You’ll join a collaborative, highly experienced UX team working across a suite of B2B SAAS products that have recently gone through a digital transformation. These digital SAAS products are based around insurance and modelling used by other insurance companies all around Australia. This role is more than just design. Its ownership, strategy, and leadership—embedded in a cross-functional product team that values real UX thinking. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the end to end UX process for the continued development of these digital products. Going beyond just showcasing attractive interfaces. To take charge of the process of user research, journeys, and other product-related outputs. This role is all about autonomy and creativity. You’ll be in a position to proactively identify problems and utilise your knowledge to gather the information to design the best user experience workflows for these products to be designed and developed by the engineering teams. It’s a vital role, that is the sole UXD based here in Australia and is part of a global team of 6 others. You’ll work closely with the technology team of around 40 people in the Sydney office, the Product Manager and be part of the globally distributed wider team of 70 people. Despite being in different locations the team often works together this will mean that each you will be working some late evenings, however this is adjusted to your working week with time in lieu etc. This happens every week, so if this is a deal breaker, do not apply for this role. However, they are incredibly flexible around start and finish, WFH etc so we can work around different lifestyles and working times. This is your chance to drive UX initiatives and not simply wait for requirements and feedback to get stuff done. What You’ll Do Lead discovery, research, and design for high-impact digital products used in the insurance and risk modelling space. Turn ambiguity into structure—transforming user needs into elegant, intuitive experiences. Collaborate with smart, passionate product managers, analysts, and developers across Australia and the UK. Shape user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs using Figma and Miro. Help evolve and maintain a growing design system. Raise the UX bar: advocate for users, elevate the practice, and build UX maturity across the business. What You Bring Some solid experince in UX, ideally in enterprise B2B or SaaS product environments. Strong user research chops: you're comfortable running workshops, interviews, and usability tests. High proficiency in Figma, with a sharp eye for interaction and visual design. The ability to explain your thinking clearly to stakeholders, developers, and fellow designers. Self-direction, proactivity, and the confidence to lead design in a complex domain. A global mindset: comfortable working closely with UK-based colleagues and open to some evening hours. The Details Location: Sydney (Hybrid – 2 days in office) Salary: $160,000 super bonus (target 13.5% with potential for more based on performance) Hours: Expect 4–5 hours/week of evening work to collaborate with UK-based teammates. You’ll get time-in-lieu for this flexibility. Team: You’ll be working alongside another senior Product Manager, embedded in a 75-person product unit, with six UX professionals globally and four tech writers. A well-structured team with support, autonomy, and real collaboration. This isn’t a “make it pretty” UX job. The team is serious about user experience and wants someone who can contribute meaningfully from research to implementation. You’ll have room to lead, explore, and improve how things are done.
