ABOUT THE ROLE The Dining Host role is responsible for the successful delivery of Premium Member dining services and functions at designated spaces within the MCG. Working on match days during the 2025 Toyota AFL Season, this casual role , is a key position to ensuring our promise of excellence and enhancing the match day experience for members and their guests. The Dining Host role is customer facing requiring the strong ability to be solution focused in real time as well as have exceptional interpersonal skills. The role is integral to the connection of customer from a delivery perspective, with a deep understanding of restaurant and function operations as well as membership inclusions resulting in positives experiences. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Key Accountabilities: Attend on site match day briefings with AFL D&E lead during the 2025 Toyota AFL Season Review the overall set up of function rooms which may include AV/staging Review and manage table plan in conjunction with DNC Place necessary fulfilment items on tables such as wristbands, menus, dietary cards etc Check members and guests in and direct to tables Raise any operational concerns with the AFL D&E lead Assist when necessary, with talent for match day appearances Assist when necessary to help deliver engagement for members and clients on event day Build and maintain relationships with premium members, clients and catering partners to deliver the best outcomes A typical shift is 4 hours from briefing until the start of the 3rd quarter which is when a shift would finish OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER Core Competencies: Proven ability to deliver quality experience and customer outcomes in fast-paced environment Ability to deliver clear and engaging communications Ability to remain effective when faced with changing tasks or responsibilities Ability to identify and provide quality solutions aimed at meeting member and customer needs Desired: Experience in sporting organizations and/or venue experience will be well-regarded but not essential Proficient in the use of CRM systems and other data-led sales tools OUR CULTURE Please visit www.afl.com.au/careers/our-organisation Applications Close: 11 April 2025
