Here, we have an excellent opportunity for you as a full-time Civil Engineering Technician to join our team based in Lane Cove WHAT’S THE JOB? A Civil Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in civil engineering design, construction and operations, from start to completion, liaising with the client on a daily basis. Day-to-day accountabilities includes: • Measure and record data related to the terrain, existing structures, and environmental conditions. • Ensure that construction activities are in compliance with design specifications and safety standards. • Compile and analyze data from surveys and inspections, and generate reports on findings. • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed engineering drawings and plans. • Interpret test results and provide recommendations for adjustments or corrections. • Work closely contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution. • Verify that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. • Ensure that safety procedures and protocols are followed on-site to prevent accidents and injuries. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you must: Have relevant tertiary qualifications. Have at least 3 years of relevant experience Be able to interpret plans, drawings, sketches for civil engineering works Collect and analyse data Previous experience preparing, editing and revising plans, maps, charts and drawings Have a good knowledge of CAD on several 3D & 2D programmes Be able to manage own workload and liaise with Survey Manager for workload. Be able to manage multiple clients / jobs. Be able to adhere to company QA procedures and company policies. Be a team player.
