THE ROLE We are looking for a dedicated Sales Support Assistant to join our Sales Team. This pivotal role serves as a vital administrative interface between the Sales Team and our Customers, providing sales-related administrative services to ensure that customer needs are met in a timely and professional manner. The Sales Support Assistant will work closely with the Sales Representatives, supporting day-to-day functions, ensuring smooth communication, and facilitating efficient service delivery. Monitoring and facilitating requests for quotes, samples, and other general sales enquiries. Relaying requests and information provided by customers to the Sales Team. Liaising with customers to obtain relevant information needed for quoting. Assisting with entering quotes into the VPS system as directed by the Sales Manager. Maintaining the Sales Team databases and filing systems on our CRM system. Collating and filing e-files, documents, and sales-related information. Managing and distributing marketing materials, promotional items, and samples as directed by the Sales Manager. Organising meetings, presentations, and events as requested by the Sales Team. Interacting with other teams to assist with the transition of relevant sales information. Undertaking special tasks to support the Sales Team and other areas of the business. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 2 years minimum years’ experience in an estimating, data entry and/or sales, preferably in engineering or manufacturing. Analytical and technical skills to calculate coasted areas, understand tech drawings and job specifications. A hands-on team player mentality with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to help where needed. Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks including, but not limited to data entry, quoting and collaboration with the entire sales team. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently. Discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential information. Commercial awareness and diplomacy when interacting with customers. Competency with software packages and business systems we use. A positive safety awareness and good work attendance record.
