About the role You will be responsible for leading Kennards Hire's business development and account management for VIC by building and fostering a high-performance sales team and achieving revenue and profit targets through the activities of that team. Lead and coach a high-performing sales team - Provide mentorship, training, and motivation to ensure the team meets and exceeds targets while fostering a positive and results-driven culture. Drive revenue growth and meet profit targets - Develop and implement initiatives that optimise sales performance, ensuring sustainable and profitable business growth. Develop and implement sales strategies - Create and execute short- and long-term strategies to enhance customer engagement, increase market share, and drive business development. Manage key accounts and acquire new customers - Build strong relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities to expand Kennards Hire's presence in the market. Monitor and optimise sales processes - Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and boost overall productivity. Maintain market and competitor insights - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and economic factors to inform strategic decision-making. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting - Manage financial performance by tracking sales figures, forecasting revenue, and reporting on key business metrics to senior leadership. About you You will have a passion for sales, people leadership, and progressing your career with a market leader. Proven experience in dealing with Tier 1 customers - tenders, contracts, and T&C's Experience working in a corporate environment Proven track record of creating and leading a high-performance sales team Financial and commercial acumen Data-driven, with highly developed analytical skills and understanding of pricing, margins, and discount impacts Extensive experience in strategic business development including major account management and new customer acquisition in hire business or related Developed stakeholder management skills Proven conceptual and analytical skills and the capacity to develop and effectively implement solutions for a range of complex issues Join our team You can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
