About the Branch The Corporate Branch is responsible for delivering services that support the operation of the agency and ensure its compliance with legislation, policy and guidelines. These services include communication and media support, financial management, performance and parliamentary reporting, procurement, human resource and facilities management. About the Section The Corporate Communication Section supports the CER's outcomes by promoting our culture, employee value proposition, managing our web services and our contact centre. The section currently encompasses 4 teams: Data and Web Management Content and Design Internal Communications and Events Contact Centre. The section works closely with the Strategic Communication Section to deliver cohesive, considered and impactful communications for the agency, focussed on user experience and engagement. The section also works closely with our internal stakeholders, including the senior executive, to provide communication advice and support delivery of agency outcomes. The key duties of the position include We're looking for an experienced, passionate and committed professional to fill an APS Level 6 position in our busy Content and Design team. The successful candidate will have: demonstrated experience in content design, including translating complex subject matter into clear digital content the ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects within changing priorities an understanding of content design principles, best-practice website content management and the Australian Government Style Manual experience managing content strategies and plans with the ability to identify areas for improvement, provide advice and initiate change the ability to think strategically and identify ways in which the team and/or section can build on its goals and objectives experience leading projects independently and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment the ability to supervise and support the development of a small team. Qualifications/Experience Our preferred candidate will have: a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related content writing or design discipline well-developed written and oral skills, including a proven ability to write in plain language a degree or diploma from an Australian tertiary institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, with a major in communications, marketing, writing or design (this is preferred but not essential, and comparable work experience will be considered).
