The role will predominantly be based out of our pharmaceutical client’s site near the Melbourne CBD. Wood Life Sciences office in Melbourne services a wide variety of technology intensive sectors including biotechnology & pharmaceuticals, laboratories & research facilities and healthcare. Reporting to the Project Delivery lead, the ideal candidate would act as the main client interface and manage concurrently several projects to scope, cost and schedule. LI-Hybrid What we can offer • Meaningful and interesting projects • Flexible working arrangements • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion • Competitive renumeration package • Flexible benefits package • Commitment to continued professional development • Global connections Responsibilities The key objectives for this role are: Project manage a full project team including Client resources and subcontractors to deliver projects from project definition/estimation, through detailed design, procurement, construction, hand over and close-out with bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project Interfacing with client engineering, operations and quality teams to ensure fit-for-purpose design, timely resolution of queries and compliance with GxP/GMP requirements Coordinating the production of GxP/GMP documentation and stewarding through approvals and execution Overseeing the procurement, expediting and receipt of materials and equipment within Client system Overseeing and coordinating construction activities using Client permitting system Qualifications At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical engineering preferred Experience with directly managing a portfolio of small projects Experience working with GxP/GMP documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Experience managing Brownfields projects and demonstrably commitment to strong change and variation management, scheduling, scoping and reporting to senior management Demonstrated strong commitment to safety Previous site experience working closely with commissioning and construction teams will be looked upon favourably Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral Proven capabilities in managing and motivating resources across engineering, operations and qualification/commissioning teams to deliver projects on schedule and budget 3 years of post-graduate experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
