Warehouse Operations Team Leader — Melbourne CBD, Melbourne

Our client provides supply chain services in a medium-scale but fast-moving and complex environment, with its central distribution centre located in the western suburbs. They are currently looking for a Warehouse Team Leader for a short-duration contract with a high likelihood of an extension or perm role. In this role, you will lead a team of 15 staff involved in day-to-day warehouse operations and look for process gaps to fill and process enhancements to deliver better productivity. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and order fulfilment. Lead and support warehouse staff Maintain WH&S compliance and drive a strong safety culture Train and develop staff in warehouse operations, safety, and quality procedures Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to warehouse projects Foster a high-energy, team-oriented work environment Liaise with customers, transport providers, and key stakeholders Skills & Experience Required Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and supervising warehouse teams Forklift license (LF / LO) and First Aid certificate required Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset Excellent communication skills and a proactive leadership approach Advanced mathematical skills and attention to detail Your organised and systematic approach to work and high attention to detail will be a perfect complement to the above skill set. Forming strong working relationships with diverse customers and stakeholders will be critical to your success.
