The area of the Council comprises approximately 14 square kilometres and has an estimated population of 46,000 residents, which is growing at 2.5-3% annually. About the Role Strathfield Council has a great opportunity for a Cadet Business Support Officer – Legal Service to join our Legal team on a temporary, full-time basis ( up to 2-year temporary appointment pending the length of study left). This role is for students currently undertaking a degree in Law in the last year, or second last year of study. The role is available due to the Office of Local Government Fresh Start program, which will require appointment requirements to comply with the grant funding. The Cadet Business Support Officer provides professional and administrative support for Council’s legal services. A focus of the position is to assist in the preparation of contracts, legal correspondence, policies, procedures, and reports.
