Our current Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Head Office—Applecross) to collaborate as part of a team during tendering, ECI/FEED studies, and execution of Non-process Infrastructure projects. Ideally, you will have a strong engineering background and 2 years of experience designing and executing non-process infrastructure projects with Tier 1 iron ore mining companies. Our Benefits on Offer: Attractive base remuneration with fortnightly pay Attractive annual profit share scheme Permanent employment contract offering annual accruals of 4 weeks of holiday and 10 days of sick pay Your Roles, Duties and Responsibilities: The role involves coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects and participating in planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating engineering work. This includes monitoring work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and company standards. In addition to undertaking the competencies below, the role ensures effective communication and coordination among all disciplines and other project participants on assigned projects. Manage and coordinate the design of various disciplines, including content/detail, interfaces between disciplines, compliance with the tendered contract requirements Assist with preparing designs, drawings, plans and specifications for projects, engineered systems, technical equipment or components. Participate in Safety in Design processes, including HAZID and HAZOP studies. Review drawings to identify problems, recommend solutions and take preventive steps for correction. Work closely with the Management team and project scheduler to streamline schedules and coordinate engineering activities. Liaise with vendors and contractors to achieve ‘on-time’ results, including following up with external suppliers to ensure timely responses to action items. Assist in preparing quotations utilising supplier information, cost standards, and technical information from the quality, manufacturing engineering, and design. Assist with coordinating pricing, estimating, and scoping strategies for proposed projects and developing and preparing technical specifications. Prepare project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Resolve technical issues in collaboration with onsite and offsite project teams, including drafting technical queries. Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within the company, other contractors and clients. Participate in Client/Contractor meetings and resolve Client/engineering and technical issues. Attend internal/subcontractor project meetings and provide technical and engineering support to the project team. Assist with the compilation and administration of project variations. Assists in preparing reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits, and project designs. Perform other organisational duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements. Take responsibility for your safety, uphold the Company WHSE policies and participate in Company WHSE initiatives. About you: Degree in Engineering. Equivalent combination within the construction Industry experience, education and training. 2 years’ experience in the design and execution of non-process infrastructure projects. Experience working with Tier 1 Iron Ore Mining Companies Competent in the use of Microsoft applications. Autocad or familiarity with various drawing software would be an advantage. Experience working on multiple discipline projects. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite. Registered engineer or technician is preferred .
