We're seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers, providing support to adults with disabilities and children with disabilities under the NDIS or Child Safety sectors. About the Role This rewarding position involves supporting adult and/or child participants under the NDIS and/or Child Safety sector. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, fostering emotional well-being, and encouraging community integration. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience in supporting individuals with complex behaviours, both adults and young people. This may involve implementing behaviour support strategies, de-escalating challenging situations, and providing structured support to promote positive outcomes. Preference will be given to candidates available for overnight stays; however, flexibility for other shift types (days, etc) may also be available. Key Responsibilities Support clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to foster independence. Assist with mobility, transportation, and household tasks. Administer medication and monitor health conditions. Implement behaviour support strategies for individuals with complex behaviours De-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour management. Maintain accurate records and documentation of care. What We Are Looking For Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and/or diagnoses, Certification in disability support or a related field (preferred). Female support workers (preferred) - but males are encouraged to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with, or willingness to support, children with disabilities. Patience, resilience, and the ability to handle challenging behaviours effectively. Knowledge of disability rights, advocacy, and child safety requirements.
