The Role: We are looking for a talented and experienced Estimator who is ready to take the next step in their career. As part of our team, you will: Prepare Take-offs, Scope of Works and Bills of Quantities (B.O.Q): Ensure accuracy and precision in all project estimations. Manage Tender Packages: Oversee the preparation, submission, and tracking of tender documents. Obtain and Compare Vendor Quotes: Evaluate quotes to secure the best value for our projects. Liaise with Estimating Management: Work collaboratively to ensure alignment with company goals and processes. Build and Leverage Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both new and existing. Develop Preliminary Construction Programs: Prepare construction methodology statements and interpret tender schedules with confidence and clarity. Maintain Project Budgets: Ensure financial control by keeping projects within budget constraints. Identify Efficiencies: Spot opportunities to streamline processes and exceed tender targets. Solve Problems Effectively: Provide timely solutions to project concerns and present alternative strategies to address budgetary challenges. What We’re Looking For: Comprehensive Understanding of Construction Tasks: A strong knowledge of plans, methodologies, and processes. Industry Expertise: A deep understanding of various industry segments and their unique requirements. Regulatory Knowledge: Excellent familiarity with building codes and regulations. Commitment: A desire to grow with the company and follow established processes. Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: The ability to lead effectively and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Versatility in Work Style: Flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team. Technical Proficiency: Competence in using common computer software, as well as construction and estimating tools. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or at least 3 years of construction experience, with a construction certificate or similar being highly desirable. Attention to Detail: High level of detail in estimates and tender documentation.
