We are assisting them in recruiting a Senior Lecturer – Fieldwork Placement Program to join their team delivering the Masters of Social Work. Full-time, permanent role Opportunities for professional growth Be part of a student-centric and supportive academic environment About The Role: The Senior Lecturer – Fieldwork Placement Program plays a key role in coordinating student field placements in community services while also delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. This role bridges academic theory with practical application, ensuring students are both academically prepared and practically ready for their placements. Additionally, the role focuses on compliance, student engagement, and continuous improvement of course delivery within the discipline. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and oversee student fieldwork placements, ensuring proper matching and smooth onboarding. Work collaboratively with academic and placement teams to prepare students for placements. Deliver engaging placement induction programs and provide ongoing student support. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies. Develop and maintain current, relevant teaching materials related to fieldwork placements. Provide high-quality teaching and assessment, monitoring student progress and outcomes. Engage in professional development to enhance teaching quality and stay current with best practices. Support internal and external moderation processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to academic administration and institutional development. Skills & Attributes: Post-graduate qualification in Community Services, Welfare Work, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field. Eligibility for membership with relevant professional bodies (ACWA, APHRA, AASW, APS). At least three (3) years of post-qualification industry experience. Commitment to at least 20 hours of continued professional development annually. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to implement innovative teaching strategies and effectively engage students. Tertiary teaching experience and experience coordinating fieldwork placements are highly desirable.
