Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Customer Service/Sales Offer professional advice and demonstrations of Samsonite products in a professional manner to ensure a friendly shopping experience. Introduce selling benefits and various features of merchandise. Maximize sales through detailed product knowledge and add-on sales. Be knowledgeable about store layout, products, and stock availability. Deal with customers in a cheerful, polite and efficient manner, always considering their needs. Handle customer complaints and inquiries tactfully, adhering to Company Policy. Process transactions efficiently and in a professional manner, while following Company Procedures. Be fully aware of Samsonite's after sales service, Supplier's warranties and areas covered. Maintain awareness of sales promotions, incentives and product brochures. Be aware of all sales figures, targets, and commissions on a daily/weekly/period basis. Be responsible for personal and or group targets regarding sales and stock control. Be responsible for customer service benchmarks ie Mystery shopper results. 2. Stock Management/Merchandising Assist in unloading shipments, checking shipment accuracy, and processing deliveries according to policy. Unpack inventory and organize inventory in the stockroom and replenish stock on the sales floor as needed. Replenish stock on sales floor as needed by completing regular stock runs from Store Rooms and back room to stores. Conduct regular(weekly) inventory cycle counts and support stock takes. Retrieve items from stockroom at customer request, as required. Use of store emails and Ivend management console /spreadsheets to log relevant information. Maintain backup stock and stockrooms in an organized manner. Assists managers and team members in preventing theft through proper inventory. Ensure backup stock and stockrooms are kept in order. Be knowledgeable of all products ( current and new) and selling benefits. Assist in layouts and maintenance of merchandising and internal displays. Read and action relevant Head Office communication. Pack up defective items and arrange for the Goods Issue and reporting for return shipment. Observe proper safety procedures in stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items. Report issues or problems to the store manager. Assist in cleaning up the store and stockroom during closing shifts. Assist in conducting monthly OH&S, including risk assessments, audits and maintenance of stock trolleys/shelving and equipment. Qualifications for Internal Candidates Qualifications ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Physical strength to unload, lift, and carry heavy boxes. Attention to detail and familiarity with company products. Clear and effective communication skills. Ability to work well within a team. Capability to read and interpret invoices and packing slips.
