About the Role As a Rostering & Administration Support Officer, you will work collaboratively as part of the service delivery team delivering efficient and effective client services. This position will see you coordinating and optimising the available workforce by utilising rostering and scheduling systems to best meet participant requirements and to promote a sustainable workforce. You will also provide administrative support for the daily operations, ensuring seamless administrative processes and delivering outstanding support to both our participants and staff. Location Numurkah and Cobram. Employment Type 0.6 EFT – 12 month contract What Will You Do? Coordinate and manage staff rosters, ensuring optimal coverage for service delivery. Work with stakeholders to align rosters with service agreements and participant needs. Adjust schedules in response to changes, ensuring minimal service disruptions. Optimise rostering efficiency to reduce Award/Enterprise Agreement penalties. Provide administrative support, such as: taking meeting minutes, managing supply orders for service sites and ensuring monthly compliance tasks are completed. Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated participant and support team records. Manage petty cash and banking transactions in line with organisational policies. Support PALS’ commitment to high-quality service delivery by upholding our values and Code of Conduct. Work safely, adhering to all OH&S requirements and reporting any hazards and incidents. Key Selection Criteria We are looking for someone who has: Experience in performing a wide range of administrative tasks, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. Excellent phone manner, with effective communication skills, both verbal and written. High proficiency skills and confidence in using Microsoft Office Suite and technology. Previous experience in using client and rostering systems e.g., Visual Care or similar. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to take instructions, manage tasks and deliver within appropriate and identified timelines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm. Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive client and employee information. A strong alignment with the organisation’s values through own behaviour, demonstrating a commitment to PALS Inc’s values and positively contributing to workplace harmony and cooperative team behaviour. What You’ll Need Mandatory: Previous experience of 1 year or more in administrative roles. Knowledge of NDIS, aged care, or community care services (highly desirable) Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications Valid Driver’s Licence NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate NDIS Orientation Module Certificate of Completion. Desirable : Previous experience in client management systems and processes. Experience in working in a not-for-profit community service organisation.
