The Moreton Services Coordinator fulfils this goal by overseeing processes to welcome and integrate both newcomers and those not yet well connected. This links directly into their oversight of the onboarding process for volunteer teams, ensuring it is efficient and compliant with safety protocols. Additionally, this person manages the administrative needs of the location, coordinates weekend services, and oversees transportation services to ensure seamless access to church events. Summary Job Title: Moreton Services Coordinator and Administration Support Reports To: Moreton Location Pastor Work Location: Hope Centre Moreton Hours: Full-Time 38 Hours/week (Sunday-Thursday) Position-Specific Responsibilities New People & Connection: Ensure new people and those not yet well-connected feel welcomed and have avenues to connect by: Implementing New People processes and events that focus on identifying, welcoming and integrating newcomers. Developing volunteer teams to effectively welcome and integrate new attendees. Organizing regular opportunities that help people connect more deeply with Pastors and other service attenders. Providing information and guidance on joining Life Groups, Communities, or volunteer teams. Finding and implementing ways to reinforce a culture of ‘welcome’ within the congregation. Welcome Experience & Service Coordination: Develop and empower welcome teams and coordinate weekend services to create a warm, inviting atmosphere and ensure smooth service execution. This involves: Developing volunteer teams and outworking systems to facilitate friendly and welcoming Sunday gatherings. Developing and maintaining documentation of regular Sunday processes and procedures, ensuring it is accessible to relevant parties. Monitoring the execution of processes to make sure they are performed correctly, and that the processes are still fit for purpose. Communicating relevant information and updates to team leaders, addressing any issues or challenges that arise during services. Volunteer Teams & Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for volunteer teams, ensuring it is simple, clear, and fast by: Developing clear and accessible onboarding materials and resources. Implementing and running training for volunteers to explain expectations, culture, and necessary procedures and compliance. Ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols both during and after the onboarding process. Coordinating with team leaders to ensure smooth transitions for new volunteers. Monitoring the onboarding process to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks. Administrative Support: Manage the administrative requirements of location ministry, including communication, admin systems, workflows, and rosters. This includes: Helping with all aspects of volunteer team and process administration including internal communication, implementing, and maintaining admin systems, workflows and rosters in Planning Center and general admin support. Collaborating in the creation of new processes that improve efficiency across all departments. Creating, distributing and filing location-specific Standard Operating Procedures for all approved systems and processes in conjunction with the Location Pastor. Managing all outgoing communication to the congregation using approved platforms and methods. Creating and editing digital and printed materials for volunteer teams. Handling of and reporting on the finances of the location in concert with the Central Finance team, including purchasing of location consumables. Transportation Services: Oversee transportation services to ensure seamless access to church events and services by: Organizing transportation schedules and routes. Ensuring vehicles are maintained and ready for use. Communicating transportation details to attendees and volunteers. Addressing any transportation-related issues or concerns. Core Pastoral Responsibilities Shepherd and support those within your ministry with the primary aim to help them develop and flourish in their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 20:28). Provide pastoral care to those belonging to your ministry, liaising with your location pastor when necessary. Identify and raise up key leaders and empower them to lead the areas of ministry under your supervision (Ephesians 4:11-13). Be responsible for the rostering, communication, and general care of your teams to ensure they have everything they need to serve well. Manage budgets and finances of the ministry you lead within the guidelines and processes outlined by the Hope Centre Leadership Team. Manage physical resources (such as rooms, vehicles and other equipment) associated with the ministry you lead. Participate in all location team meetings and events. Collaborate with team members responsible for the same ministry at other locations to develop a strategic approach to the ministry across all locations. Perform pastoral and ceremonial duties as a Minister of Religion as required.
