Summary: The BASC Lead Educator and Bus Driver is responsible for delivering the BASC Care and Education Program, compliant with My Time Our Place, to our busy BASC and Vacation Care Programs. They are responsible for leading the BASC team, creating and implementing a curriculum, developing programs, ensuring the program is adequately resourced, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and organizing events and activities. Responsibilities: Manage BASC educators and trainees and ensure adherence to policies and procedures Create and implement a curriculum that promotes child development Maintain accurate records of enrolment, attendance, and child’s progress Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements Respond to parents’ inquiries, concerns, and suggestions Plan and organize events and activities for children and families Conduct routine sweeps of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs Prepare risk assessments for incursions and excursions Safely drive the centre bus to and from excursions and school pick up and drop off Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Minimum 5 years expereince in a similar role in a Long Day Care setting Excellent verbal and written communication skills Staff management skills Ability to develop and implement lesson plans and curricula Strong organizational skills Excellent problem-solving skills Attention to detail Ability to stay calm and composed under stressful situations Drivers license We have 2 positions to fill immediately as our busy BASC program continues to grow in popularity.
