What you'll be doing Based out of Brisbane, you'll be driving semi trailers, delivering forklifts and plant to our customers interstate - routes mainly between Melbourne to Cairns: Monitor & maintain a schedule to ensure timely deliveries Load & unload forklifts & plant Complete pre & post trip vehicle inspections Communicate with customers in a friendly & professional manner Operate vehicles in a safe manner as part of your day to day duties Maintain accurate trip logs & records in compliance with regulations Work autonomously as well as part of a team Undergo ongoing drug & alcohol testing What are we looking for A genuine love of the industry Previous experience in a similar role Good driving history with current HC or MC licence Fit with ability to undertake manual handling Flexibility to accept various runs (routes between Melbourne - Cairns) Forklift licence an advantage Current MSIC (Marine Security Identification Card) beneficial Must pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test Why join us A career and not just a job - you'll be joining a positive, family-run business Ongoing full-time work in a permanent role (generally M-F) Good pay rates with uniform and phone supplied Safe working environment with well maintained vehicles Extensive training provided and immediate start available Who are we Howie Transport is a local, family-owned and operated company, providing local and interstate freight transport services.
