Achieve targets and budgets as set by Management. Build and maintain an effective sales team to enable you to achieve set targets. Constantly develop and train new and current sales staff. Oversee the sale of motorcycles and where possible, sell units yourself. Oversee the closure of all deals to gain an understanding of each of your staff members’ abilities in this area. This will include double closing with the customers. Costing of deals and accurate completion of paperwork to enable efficient completion of required tasks by all staff. Ensure salesperson follow-up and prospecting procedures are up to date and that you are personally involved in assisting sales staff with this area. Active involvement in marketing and advertising strategies set by Management. Ensure new and used bike stock lists are up to date and available to sales staff on a regular basis. Ensure attention is given to correctly pricing sales stock and the close monitoring of aged stock, both new and used. Liaison with motorcycle distributors in relation to stock levels, point of sale material, pricing, promotions, ordering and back orders. Provide current daily and end of month reports as required by Management. Monitor test rides to eliminate the chance of theft. This includes the screening of the three forms of identification required for all test rides, for both riders and pillions. Opening and closing of the dealership as required with special attention to securing the premises and chaining of individual vehicles. Maintain a high level of showroom presentation. Hold weekly sales meetings to keep staff up to date with new models, pricing, promotion and general motivation. Management and completion of staff rosters. Liaise with the Service Department to ensure correct procedures are followed so as to permit timely deliveries and assist with the transition of reconditioned bikes to the showroom. Liaise with the Finance & Insurance Manager to ensure all requirements are complete prior to delivery of the unit to the customer. Assist the Administration Department as required. Actively promote the Spare Parts, Accessory, F & I and Service Departments for all of our locations. Liaise with Management in regard to stock takes, stock levels, aged stock, bonus rebates and floorplan limits. Liaise with other Sales Managers / Departments to assist with stocking requirements. Actively pursue the purchase of used bike stock. Participation in all Company promotional activities (i.e. ride days, model releases etc) to promote the dealership, some of which may occur after hours or on Sundays. Deal effectively with any customer issues that may arise, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Any other reasonable duties as required by Management. Must have a current WA drivers licence and be able to work in Australia.
