Disability Support Worker (Full-Time) – Penrith LGA Advance Disability Services and Respite Pty Ltd (ADSR) is looking for one experienced and exceptional Disability Support Worker to join our team in Penrith LGA on a full-time basis. Position Details (Full-Time Roster) We are hiring one part-time applicant to work the following shifts: Week 1: Monday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM Week 2: Monday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM Important Notes: These shifts are not flexible, as we are hiring for a specific client line. If you are unavailable for these shifts, we have other positions you may apply for. ADSR may require you to work at an alternative location if a participant cancels. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role. A genuine commitment to ADSR’s vision, mission, and values. Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills. A flexible and team-oriented approach to work. Ability to work independently and use initiative. Smartphone (iPhone/Android) with the ability to download and use software apps. Current Driver’s Licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle. Knowledge of disability services and regulations. Attention to detail and strong written & verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Current First Aid & CPR certification. NDIS Worker Screening Check. COVID-19 vaccination record (including at least one booster). Confidence in using technology (smartphones, iPads, computers). Key Responsibilities: This includes but is not limited to: ✔ Personal care – dressing, showering, toileting, transfers, meals. ✔ Household support – cleaning, laundry, shopping, errands. ✔ Community access – social outings, recreational activities, events. ✔ Companionship & emotional support. ✔ Following behaviour support plans and using positive behaviour strategies. ✔ Medication administration & management. ✔ Progress notes, record-keeping & incident reporting. Desirable (Not Essential): Cert IV in Disability or equivalent qualification. Experience in community or charitable organisations. Understanding of disability support services.
