About the role We are looking for a savvy Office administrator who can juggle the different needs of multiple areas of the business, can communicate effectively with people at all levels and is extremely organised. While based in our Sydney office, the position is a support role within a friendly Administrative team that’s spread throughout Australia. Archaeology and Heritage is an exciting and ever-changing industry and the successful applicant should be comfortable with routinely shifting demands and deadlines, and a high degree of attention to detail. As you will be the first point of contact internally and externally, this is a full time office based role. Responsibilities • Run the reception desk: • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and knowledgeable manner. • Welcome visitors in a warm and approachable manner and answer any questions visitors have. • Maintain the reception area, Boardroom and all common areas to be clean and tidy at all times. • Keep detailed and accurate records of visitors, requests and of calls received. • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail. • Operate and maintain office equipment, including printers, computers, and conference facilities • Assist with ISO auditing preparations and update administrative procedures. • Coordinate staff travel arrangements including transportation and accommodation. • Take inventory of kitchen and stationery supplies and restock as needed. • Maintain the general office electronic and physical filing system. • Perform ad hoc administrative duties as needed.
