Part-Time In-House Legal Counsel — Central Coast NSW Region, New South Wales

A leading property development business who specialise in residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects are looking for a Property Lawyer to join their team 2-3 days per week. With a strong reputation in the industry and a diverse portfolio, they are committed to delivering high-quality developments that meet the needs of the communities they serve. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced and proactive In-House Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. As In-House Legal Counsel You will provide legal guidance and support across all aspects of the company’s property development operations. You will play a key role in managing legal risks, negotiating and drafting contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the success of the business by providing strategic legal advice. Key Aspects of the Role Advise on all legal matters related to property development, including land acquisition, zoning, planning, and construction law. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including joint venture agreements, development agreements, construction contracts, and leases. Provide legal support on financing and transactional matters, including due diligence and structuring of deals. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Manage disputes and litigation, working closely with external legal counsel when necessary. Advise on risk management and provide practical solutions to legal challenges. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external advisors. We are looking for: An experienced Property Lawyer with confidence in property development matters. Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts, particularly in the real estate or construction sectors. Proven ability to manage legal issues in a fast-paced environment and provide clear, practical advice. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Someone keen for 2-3 days per week with the potential for full time as the role matures.
