Role Overview The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for effectively supervising and coordinating the day- to-day activities of warehouse and distribution employees. Role Responsibilities The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for (but not limited to): Determining work requirements and allocate duties to Warehouse employees. Liaising with the Warehouse Manager to organise effective receipt, storage and dispatch of stock. Ensuring customer requirements with respect to delivery, time and quantity are met by directing and controlling the distribution operations. Minimising the cost of transport operation by analysing and implementing procedures that result in optimal fleet utilisation. Explaining and enforcing work safety policies and procedures to all Warehouse employees. Operating and maintaining a warehouse management system to ensure seamless tracking of stock. Providing guidance and advice to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies in order to meet schedules and resolve technical problems. Responsible for implementing a principle driven health and safety culture that cares for employees and ensures their safety in line with Datacom policy. Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy. Note: Work Location is at Dandenong South VIC and this is a Fulltime work Onsite Requirements Knowledge Proficiency in warehouse management systems and ERP principles. Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and legislation. Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue. Experience 3 years in a warehouse / distribution / logistics environment. Experience in leading people and teams. Skills Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of relevant factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Ability to network and develop productive relationships with both technical and non-technical employees at all levels of the organisation. Ability to lead and work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals. Strong ability to work well under stress and conflict. Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties. Proven analytical and problem- solving skills. Excellent customer relationship building and management skills. Strong influencing and persuasive ability. Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders. Strong consultative and planning skills. Ability to escalate with a solution focus.
