About us The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body for youth justice and child protection in Queensland. About the role The Administration and Receptionist Officer will play a vital role in supporting QATSICPP’s core function by ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for reception duties, providing essential administrative support, managing office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, and assisting with event logistics. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks will help keep the office running smoothly. This is a part-time position of 30 hours per week, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to our work in reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection and youth justice systems. Typical Duties and responsibilities: Providing reception duties, including greeting guests, answering the main phone line, responding to queries, and managing the administration mailbox. Coordinating and assisting with travel bookings and event support. Maintaining office supplies, including ordering stationery, restocking the kitchen, catering, and ensuring the office is tidy and well-organized. Assisting with HR onboarding processes for new staff. Ensuring meeting rooms are presentable and prepared for meetings and events. Assisting with general administrative tasks as required, including filing, document management, and maintaining internal processes for efficient workflow. Supporting with ad hoc administrative tasks across the organization as needed. Desired skills, experience, and capabilities: Desire to grow administrative capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Mandatory requirements: Relevant experience in administration and/or receptionist A current valid Queensland Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply, with prior experience in roles involving child or youth engagement preferred.
