As a senior leader within the studio, the successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting cutting-edge design solutions while guiding project teams through all phases of design and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Spearhead the interior design and execution of multi-residential projects from initial concept through to completion. Craft and communicate compelling design narratives that align with client aspirations, urban contexts, and regulatory requirements. Develop and manage concept designs, feasibility studies, and presentations for client and authority approvals. Ensure adherence to local planning controls, building codes, and sustainability initiatives. Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to deliver design excellence. Mentor and nurture graduate designers, fostering a supportive and creative studio environment. Provide strategic leadership in design thinking, ensuring exceptional design quality across all projects. Partner with technical teams to oversee design documentation, maintaining high quality and consistency throughout all project stages. Actively engage in business development efforts by cultivating strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Participate in design reviews and contribute to thought leadership within the studio. Assist in establishing practice-wide interior design standards and enhancing design processes and documentation. Support recruitment initiatives and mentor team members, helping to shape the future generation of designers within the practice. Key Skills & Experience: 10 years of interior design experience, particularly in multi-residential and hospitality projects. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and guiding junior and mid-level designers. Experience in high-end residential interiors, Build-to-Rent (BTR), and affordable housing is preferred. A robust design portfolio that highlights high-quality interior solutions, materiality, and spatial planning. Proficiency in Archicad, Enscape, Lumion, TwinMotion, and Adobe Suite for design development and documentation is preferred. Strong understanding of planning regulations, BCA, and NCC. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently engage with clients and stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment, meeting deadlines and quality expectations. Experience with FF&E selection, procurement, and detailed joinery documentation. Strong design, graphic, verbal, and written communication skills. Remarkable attention to detail and strong technical expertise. Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients and stakeholders. Effective communication of design intent to both internal and external parties. Creative problem-solving abilities, with a knack for swiftly resolving design challenges. Proven experience in strategic business development, including identifying opportunities and securing new projects. Capability to contribute to project management through assistance with project resourcing, budgeting, and fee proposals.
