Being part of the Melbourne Market Authority, you will play a big part of this vision as a Customer Service Officer , focusing on enhancing the customer experience whilst ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for all our Market Users and stakeholders. This position is a 12-month contract with the possibility of permanency, based on business needs. This role also requires an early start (4am) in line with Market trading hours. Summary of the Position: As a Customer Service Officer (CSO) you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all Market Stakeholders and Market Users, focusing on enhancing the customer experience here at the Melbourne Market. You will assist with customers queries, conduct general cashiering duties and run introduction sessions for new the Market User to ensure they are familiar and comfortable with the site. Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on boosting engagement for all Market stakeholders Greet and welcome visitors, answer customer queries in person or via emails/phone calls promptly and professionally, direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and maintain a welcoming and professional front-desk environment. Processing access card application and New Business Registrations Welcome new applicants into the market and assist them in completing their application Guide new applicants through market policies, and procedures and give them a site induction as necessary. Monitor access cards, cancelling when required, issuing renewals etc. Build and maintain strong relationships with Market users, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively. Complete journal transactions daily, receipt payments and generating receipts, preparing basic financial reports etc. Conduct informative and engaging guided tours Be aware and familiar with emergency procedures Providing general administrative support for the department Assist in allocating parking bays and registering market-related vehicles as required, including data entry and record-keeping. Assist in the planning and executing of company events, including registration, check-in, and on-site support. Keeping the CRM (salesforce) up to date To be Successful We’re looking for some who has the below skill set and/or experiences: 2-3 years of Customer Service experience within an operational setting 1-2 years of Administrative experience Experience using CRMs, preferable Salesforce Excellent communication skills Adaptive Interpersonal skills Data analytics Adaptive and resilient Reconciliation (desired) Basic Financial reporting (desired) What in it for you?
