We’re growing and on the lookout for an experienced, forward and inspirational Retail and Community Manager to assist in shaping and managing our new retail space ready this November. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing our new store operations and daily activities, ensuring efficient operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and achieving company set targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for the gifting industry Who we are and what we do: Miei is a 100% net-profit-to-charity social enterprise based in Docklands, VIC. Specializing in floral design, gift hampers, event experiences, and activations, Miei uses business as a force for good by sponsoring young Australian children with school necessities to help close the poverty gap in Australia. About the role and key responsibilities: Reporting to the Co-Founder, this is an integral role leading Miei’s customer shopping experience. At miei, you have the opportunity to contribute your personality, ideas and creativity to break new grounds and create something unique worth living for. Demonstrated success in driving and achieving sales results, within a fast-paced environment and experience in building and maintaining a loyal client base. Depth of operational management experience as well as people leadership of three years or more and can talk to how you have motivated, coached and led a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs. • Store Operations: Manage all aspects of our store’s day to day operations, including inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, and customer service. • Team Leadership: Lead, develop and foster a positive work environment and experience in providing recruiting, coaching and development opportunities. • Customer Service: Drive outstanding and authentic customer experience by ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through resolving complaints, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. • Sales and Financial Management: Drive sales growth and profitability through effective planning, budgeting, and cost control measures. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets. • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. • Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee product ordering and receiving processes. • Promotions and Marketing: Develop and implement promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance brand awareness. Coordinate marketing campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
